In line with Merc’s vision of achieving World Class Manufacturing Status, the company has been developing and is now operating its own Factory Management Software. The package is centred around the principles of Lean Manufacturing and has been instrumental in a number of improvements surrounding productivity. The software controls all areas of the business from payroll to production planning.

After a long and intense phase of research & development, Merc’s state-of-the-art ERP software is now almost fully operational and it has just been launched on the shopfloor computers.

80% of Mafis modules are already in use in Admin including Personnel, Payroll, Customer Relationship Management, Stores, Quotations, Route Cards, Material Ordering, Goods Inwards, Delivery, and Personnel Report.

All the remaining modules should be rolled out by the end of November.
